i have been checking my heat pump after i found a leak on my suction valve stem,and i have added freon got the thing cooler but was wondering what suction and discharge psi should be and how do you know when you have enough freon in the unit.also how cool should the temp be coming out of the vents.

Are you EPA lic to recharge the system, if yes, then you should be able to do it.
If not, fine waiting to happen.

Just keep filling it up and you will know when you have enough freon in there. You can't be serious asking a question like that on this board.
