1100 sq foot home in Va beach Va area. Faces SW. Lots of lowE argon filled glass front and back. Black roof. Attic airhandler and duct work. 1 tree that really doesnt provide much shade.

Yesterday it was 85 and my unit ran a total of 10hrs out of 24.

    Inside temp 72 and 41RH

    2TON Ruud system

If you have it set for 72 and you are still maintining 41% rh, you arent oversized (lets just say I wouldnt want to try that with a 1.5 ton unit). Just FYI, we cant determine size based on square footage alone and we also rarely consider shade from trees.

Humidity reading based on Radio shack and Bionaire gauge. Indoor RH yesterday ranged from 38 to 41.

Your doing well as mentioned. It was pretty steamy in VA yesterday.
