i dont do ac, and ...im not able to get to this girls house to check it out..so i thought id ask here..

im telling you guys what shes telling me..i do know its not a big bucks ac system, a propane heater and a small ac unit..
i had installed a robertshaw digital t-stat, and replaced it 3 times, until she asked that i replace the original back...its was fine for the past few months, and now the fan is comming on...for no aparent reason...ill get there in my spare time and look at it...

    thanks anyway...

Sounds like it is operating as it should.
If you will turn the temp dial all the way up when you turn the mode off ,it should prevent the fan coming on (unless they like to keep the house at 90+ degrees,or unless the t-stat is tilted.)
Sometimes there are compounding complexities of multiple variables that are not intuitively obvious
