I installed an Alco txv on a Ice O Matic ice machine. How do I adjust the valve?

Save yourself some grief. Put the OEM in and leave it as is.

Congratulations you have now put the wrong valve in that machine.

I hope you at least changed the drier when you changed the valve.

What model # machine and what size valve?

BTW: Why ALCO and not Sporlin?

To adjust a TXV, you need to use your TXV wrench.

watch it, alot of these units use special charges and will give much grief (FLOODING) if mis-applied TXV installed.

Those guys are the best of us all in giving their experiences(on an open forum) of what it is like to deal with those issues. I would never hold a candle to what many of them are going thru (the reason I have never posted there). I am not worthy. Supertek is taking a break as we all do from time to time. Nothing but love !
