by freezing do you mean the coil is frozen in sheets or frosting on the suction line?

As berad said, it should be a min 6 full outlets per ton newer systems, and 5 on the older systems.
Max supply sp is 1.5 iwc, and min is 1.1 iwc.

Check the slide adjustment at front of Unico for tonnage settings, and I agree min. 6 supply per ton. to find some area's to install some supply..Never going to work right until S.P. is down 1.1-1.3..
1000 cfm is max. on Unico"Everyday above ground, is a good day".
"But everyday that you have made a difference in someones life, may insure you stay above ground a little longer".<aircooled>

Summarize,
1 word.
Airflow......
Check your supply plenum adapter adjustment and add more outlets.
What is your motor amperage ? It has alot to do with Unico System set-up

not enough supplies
5 outlets per ton as long as they are under 12 ft
better to have 6 per ton and the restricter plate cant be ajusted to proper motor anps unless the supplys are correct
40 cfms per supply
these are unico requirements
have the tech read the install book if it is still with the unit

Another episode of shameful unico treatment brought to you by the Service Experts. Senior's an ok guy, but there is only a handful of guys with braincells working with him these days.
