Tridum via Virtual Machine
Hi All
Has anyone had success in Installing AX via a VM so that the liscence is bound to the VM and this can be engineered on a Laptop or Office Development Machine and the VM Transferred to the Site Server or PC which would then be enabled to run
Any pitfalls in working this way ??
Thanks

hi lwarren
Does this mean that you have a VM that can be transferred to any computer as the Liscence is bound to the VM ??
Thanks

Well first let me say that this could infringe on the license agreement. The reason I did it was because our IT guy wanted it installed that way. Also, this is one of our demo license copy's that I used for a demo station for our website.
Now to answer your question, I installed Microsoft VM on my laptop and then installed a copy of our demo license on the VM. When I was through building the demo station I made a backup of my VM and then loaded it on to our server.
