    Iconics

    Hi All!
Anybody use this Iconics? I have a site with it installed and I've been studying, trying to figure out how to add a bacnet network (or device) to the system. The customer has the Iconics Genesis32 9.13. He has a module that is called the opcBacnet module or something similar. Anyone have any tips on adding a bacnet device to this Iconics Genesis? TIA,

Iconics Genesis 32 (and 64) is an HMI geared for industrial controls. The BACnet driver was probably engineered and installed before OPC became popular. Sveral HMI packages use Matrikon's OPC Server (BACnet) that serves up BACnet "tags" which HMI's can read and write to.

OPC is pretty solid and easy to set up. The nice thing about OPC is that the drivers are not tied to the manufacturer's equipment directly. Iconics can talk BACnet several different ways. Check their website for details.

BTW-I have no affiliation with Iconics or Matrikon.
