Does outside thermostat wiring need to be installed in
flexible liquid tight raceway by code?

Not in my area (Illinois) but I must admit that I saw on this site where they ran it in clear vinyl tube...and I stole their idea, keeps the pets and rabbits from chewing it quite as bad and looks good at the same time.

low voltage doesn't have to be in anything here, but it's best if it is. I used to try to run as much as I could in the armorflex as I could.... but I like that clear tubing idea!
