Who got a service call after 4PM this Friday Holiday weekend when the call should have come in earlier that day or several days eairler but they insisted you come NOW ?

And what was the call on a stupid scale... 1 - 10 10=biggest nutcase of all time.

Traffic was gridlock and you were on the other side of town?

I got an emergency call...to a bar...I went...of course the only emergency was that I wanted a beer!

Same here, 300K people in town for black biker week, had a call right in the heart of town, took over an hour to get there, normally takes 15 minutes, then as soon as I got to the highway, another call 10 blocks away, no turn around for 9 miles, several curse words were uttered, finally turn around and a get back to town, another hour in traffic, lots of booty on the back of motorcycles to look at while I was waiting though

If calls are unthinking stupid situations... "Poor Planning on Your Part does not constitute an emergency on mine.'''' type situation. We simply tell them NO.

My boss called me into the office one day to give me grief about it all... And it didn't take rocket science to determine it was the kind of customer that would give you grief even if you actually fixed the problem. Told him... they were drunk... and instisted that they call you... get the BOSS out of bed.... I just told them NO.

He dropped the issue.

Truth be known. If someone is being unrealistic. I won't go. If their problem is valid. I'm there in a heart-beat. If they lied about the situation... I fire the customer on the spot.

I'm guessing James, you side with wisdom... and don't go if the customer is 'off base'. Who needs that kind of work?
