I got a Adler/Barbour. m/n:dcm-12. 3 1/2 ounce r-12 cooler on a boat. maintains about 50 degrees. suction line freezes with in 5 min unsure if there is a fan under the box owner has added charge to it before a few years back. Any suggestions

I've never seen one of these little fridges, but basics are basics.

It should NEVER need the charge "added" to.

If the owner did, in fact, add to it, then it is overcharged.

Recover the charge, replace the filter-drier, then weigh the proper amount back in.
