Honeywell Corp., a number of years ago sold and odor control system (scent control) that attached to the air return on my heat pump! They no longer manufacture this product was wondering if there is something on the market similar to it for controlling pet odor and other unwanted household odor?
Thank you

Odor Control
The newest products from Carrier and Lennox use photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) - a technology identified over 20 years ago. Improvements in the technology are being released almost daily - and the literature is not keeping up very well. EcoQuest acquired RGF Environmental's residential and light commercial divisions last year, and has been releasing new products designed by RGF. PCO relies on molecular changes that oxidize (break down) the odor causes. Genesis Air, Pionair, BioKes and others are available - check them out and compare. EcoQuest has a 3 day no-obligation evaluation on their products. I'm not certain what the other manufacturers and their sellers offer. EPA states that if a system is cheap, beware . . . which may explain high pricing.
Track down the source of the odor. Using chemicals to mask or clean up the odor's source could be more harmful.
