    Carrier 23xl

Looking to install a hotgas bypass on a 23xl screw that we have at the campus. The unit is oversized and we have more compressor starts then run hours. So i am looking for input on installing a hot gas bypass mainly who has tried it and some positive and negative comments.

I'm only in this one for the knowledge, but a few questions that come to my mind. Does it ever get up to full load? And if not even when capacity is being controlled is it still short cycling? Now if it was able to satisfy space @ less than full capacity, what harm would that cause? I'm guessing maybe over heating would be one possible effect of never reaching full load? If you added on HGB could you have the board programmed to control it properly or are you talking about mechanical HGB?
