What's trane talking about
I Hurd a trane guy talking about how if trane has an account they will replace compressors for free??
What is he talking about? It takes courage to grow up and turn out to be who you really are.

The weak are destroyed by the under-estimated.
I know a famous song that ends in 'my nose'. The artist is dead. Know who?

He is probably talking about warranty on compressors, if you don't have an account and you need to warranty a compressor, Trane will charge you $75.
Other manufacturer's charge a fee for warranty on compressors and other parts too, I think it is BS, if the part failed, they should not be making the contractor pay a fee and then have to explain to the customer that even though the compressor is under warranty they have to pay a fee.

Thanks guys yeah sounds like what he was talking about jay.
He mentioned it to me but said since it's my account kinda thing and I don't work for trane, it was pointless.
I will say that trane tech was SHARP I mean i get it all he works on is trane but thats not it he had repaired the old Dunn and bush verticals, centrifs, Mcquays as in the old Westinghouse chillers you know they designed those for a nuclear power plant and to run forever, Christler as well as all of the regular stuff he had indeed been around the block and he wasn't a jerk.
It was nice to see a seasoned tech out there who knew what the hell he was doing. It takes courage to grow up and turn out to be who you really are.

They gave some school disticts around these parts 10 yrs warranty on the CVHF compressors if they signed a maintenance agreement on the warrantied chiller with them. They just use that as bait to sell a contract that they wont loose on 90% of the time. Smart business if you ask me.
