The Drs. Freund and Heasman report actually states that, and I quote.

"“Findings indicate that homosexual males who preferred mature
partners responded no more to male children than heterosexual males who preferred mature partners responded to female children.”

Where the fact twisting comes in is from the ilk of Tony Perkins, the AFA, etc is that the report also states that of men who were pedophiles, they were about 30 to 33 percent likely to have abused boys.

This is not the same as saying 30 to 33 percent of homosexuals are likely pedophiles or that they are 30 to 33 percent more likely to be pedophiles.

It's faulty logic on the part of people who twist it that way. In fact it's down right dishonesty because I don't think Tony Perkins and the AFA is that stupid. Its the same as saying men are mammals, dogs are mammals therefore all men are dogs.

If the report proves anything is that homosexuality or heterosexuality has nothing to do with pedophilia.

From all rational discussions from prominent sociologists who seem to have no specific social agenda, I have to agree. It's like the old argument that marijauna led to use of harder drugs. One really has nothing to do with the other except for social purposes and there is no social connection between adult homosexuallity and child abuse. There is not even a direct connection between child abuse and pediphilia. Only pediphiles who act on their desires are commiting actual child abuse, and from what I am reading from a lot of sources, many pediphiles are appalled at the idea of a child ever being abused even by someone like themselves who are aroused by them.
