In a neighboring unit, a master crapsman balked at replacing it overhead. Bravo, Mr. Select Gibson Dealer.

Looks like it used to be a washer/dryer area. I wish HO's and LL's would look at these pictures and see what we say about it because they think installs like the "upper shelf air handler" are OK.

Gotta remember... Slum Lords... Ooops I mean Land Lords... get to the point it is all about $$$... then look for cheap folks to solve problems. Ever live in a rental... remember???

Opps, did not know that... I did for a while... bought the house from the guy after I lived in it for a while.

In your situation... what about some cabinet doors above the big doors... or full height ceiling doors... Any way to access the unit and close off the noise.

No, dont have that problem here thank god. The HVAC is completely accessible plus the landlord lives downstairs.

Ive seen plenty of crap here and in Louisiana where my wife is from so it's comforting to know hackery spans all borders lol

These are a group of 7 bank owned forclosures. All condensers missing, so lets start over. Buyer has contacted me about them.
My solution is to use an ICP/Carrier FSA Air Handler (low profile, front return) and mount it on the left side wall over the washer. These are two story with ducts between ceiling and floor, so we can't move it. We'll see.

    Sheer hackery

We have the same thing here bank paints over the mold and says its just alittle water damaged . Up here they like to put a hot water coil on top and pex it to the water heater with a 007 pump. Not bronze all the homes passed inspection both in new construction phase and in bank resale

Funny, but true. They are called "adjustable air handler stands". One size fits all for open return situations. Seeing alot of garage installs with these boxed in with ductboard too.

I need help on this picture.

Me too. Does anyone know why I can't open this picture. What is the format or file type?
