    High Head pressure

    I have a water cooled 40 ton Advantage unit with 4, 10 ton compressors.
    My question is the condensor ( heat excanger )for circuit A is hot in the middle, but he end cap stays cool. souldn't the end cap be warmer?
    I'm getting hot water out of the heat exchanger,but my flow should be better.
    It's 410A and tripping the High pressure-stat out.

    What is your condenser approach?
    Have you had your service tech out to look at it?

    This is a new unit. and thank you for replying
    It has a manifold with a flow valve regulator for each circuit. service tech called last night and had me reduce the spring tension on the valves. That didn't help much, if any.
    I went in today to take another look. I opened the drain plugs on the heat exchanger and I wasn't getting any flow from the tower water. I did get flow from the back pressure of the other circuit. Rodded the heat exchanger, put the end caps back on. then I checked flow from the tower water going to that circuit, had decent flow. I switched over to the B circuit and got the temp down to 52. and left it at that.
    I'm thinking the gaskets might have been installed wrong at the factory.
    Tech should be coming tomorrow.

    It's about 30% loaded.
    The other problem is we only have 2" going to the manifold, should be 3".
    Our old 20 ton Train unit would handle the load with no problem. But the lag compressor locked up.
    I can't fix the 2" pipe problem till we get the other chiller working.
