    Problems with Trane XC95

Just installed a Trane TUHM060. Venting with 3", LP converted. When unit fires up at 65% the valve is throttling rapidly, after about 3 min the outlet pressure has reduced to 0"wc and unit shuts down. The in coming pressure also throttles between 11" and 15" but seem to be caused by the furnace gas valve. if I disconnect the pressure hose on the positive pressure port a gas valve, the unit will run( still throttling) but pressure doesnt drop. After about 8 mins and unit reaches 70% capacity the pressure smooths out and unit runs great. I can only achieve this with that pressure hose disconnected from the gas valve though.

But I didn't tell him to check the flux capacitor, so I think I'm safe.

FYI. Trane is developing a new LP gas valve to fix this problem. Fix for now is to set thermostat to single stage operation.

FYI, I believe the new gas valve for propane is available now. May cure your problem. Ask dealer about new valve.
