First off, RoBo does not drink mixed drinks. RoBo will drink beer but prefers a good tequila to sip with water or a tomato based drink as a side drink. Now that we have that straight;
With my currently having little income due to being let go from my last employer, we are not sure if the convention will be in the budget this year. I need to be attending the Comfortech Show the week after the convention for business purposes, so don't know if the convention will be doable as well. We are working on it.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cure…Ecclesiastes 10:2 NIV

The annual HVAC-Talk Convention is not a show. It is a very informal gathering of the best of the best of the members of HVAC-Talk. To be considered one of the best of the best, you have to show up at the convention.
It really is a great social get together of those of us who may be communicating with one another on a regular basis on HVAC-Talk, but only get to actually socialize with one another once a year.
If you are in the HVAC industry, you don't live very far from Atlanta, so you would fit right in with the convention. Spouses and mature offspring are as welcome as HVAC-Talk members and everyone has a good time whether you are in the HVAC industry or associated with someone who is. The wives of HVAC geeks have more fun at times then those of us who are actually members of HVAC-Talk.
This year it is the weekend of the 16-18 of September.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cure…Ecclesiastes 10:2 NIV

Being 'Southern Folk' we are gracious as to the tastes of Northern folk... regardless of whether they are good tastes or otherwise...
.
I hope you do make it down... we may have a small gathering this year... however many times those are the ones to remember. I would put you and the lady up if I had the room... but with my Dad here and half of his household stuff all over my home (and in storage)... life in my home is a bit cramped.GA-HVAC-Tech

It's actually more the cost of getting there and back that may be the stickler. I'm looking at a 15 hour drive, taking my time with breaks. We will have to see how things shake out in the next couple of weeks. We secured a street corner for Lisa near one of the Amish villages, so we are hoping for some supplemental income from that. I also have an audition with the Chippendale's that looks promising.
