Choice hotels are usually nice for a reasonable price. Breakfast, Wi-Fi, fridge and microwaves are usually included; http://www.choicehotels.com/ires/en-...-srp=RACK&find=
I usually go for the Comfort, Comfort Suites or Sleep Inns. Some of the Rodeway and Econolodges can be in seedier areas and they are more like no-tell motels.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cure…Ecclesiastes 10:2 NIV

Here is a hotel that offers a pretty good package:
https://wwwc.druryhotels.com/MetroArea.aspx?id=ATL
- Free Breakfast (more than a box of cereal & doughnuts)
- Free Hot Food (5:30-7)
- 3 Free cocktails on the house (5:30-7)
Make sure that you call their group reservation line. Remember to look up a couple other hotels in the area & negotiate the price. Hotels will negotiate lower than you think.

GA was talking about having something at the American Legion in Duluth on Saturday so I'm calling a few hotels around there to get a group rate. Map Link The Drury hotel closest to that area is in an area with not much around it. Mostly commercial and strip malls.

OUCH! I just read reviews for those hotels on that map, and this is about the Hilton;
Should we be packing heat for this area?

WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!! 16 rooms booked and 6 correct!!!! And this was just in our group!!! Ladies up front where rude with NO HELP!!! One told us "she just works here", "there is nothing she can do", and yes...she was behind the counter!!!! We were told that our room with 2 doubles was now a king size bed. 4 WOMEN with a king size bed. NON smoking rooms were now smoked filled rooms. The manager up front told us "A room is a room..." There is no guarantee what you get". OH to add...these rooms had been reserved since January and it is September now. People had to sleep on floors and chairs....with NO extra pillow or blankets to be given out.....they told us they had NO MORE!! We asked for help getting another hotel so all the ladies could stay together and we were told "NO"! Our group was NOT a group anymore. I would stay clear of this hotel....its a joke!!!! Even though we stayed...we when left we were not greeted at all...no have a good day...sorry for the trouble...they got the keys backed....and walked away.
OH! Read the reviews for Colonial Grand at McDaniel Farm ...it's hilarious.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cure…Ecclesiastes 10:2 NIV

I found this Holiday Inn, it's weird, I went to hotels .com and the price was 110.00 a room per night. I then went to Holiday Inn Duluth reservation page and they quote a room at 77.00 a night. Anyway ,this hotel has smoking and non smoking rooms
