You reflashed it on the negative temp issue, but not the stray LCD on the refrigerant number issue.

I would love to test the Paradigm manifold or the AK!!!

Have the sherman manifold that I have sent in twice under warranty to fix leaking hand valves... And it's now sitting on my dash as a paper weight. I don't want to use it because I can atleast trust my old brute manifold only had 1 leaking valve in 10 years.

The unit that I tested was almost flawless. I am very happy with it as were my coworkers when they used it.

There were a couple of tiny programming glitches that Doug needs to work out with his programmer geeks.

Now, the issues were minor, amounting to 2 LCD segments on the screen. One that lit up when it shouldn't and one that should have lit but didn't. To add difficulty to this, one was an intermittent issue...

Minor issues to be sure, but you know dang well that the guys that buy it would see those 2 LCD segments and b***h to high hell about it.

That Doug hasn't sent the AK-900 out means that it isn't perfect, yet.
Thanx for the info JP. Sounds like they are doing the right thing by not putting this out until it is 100%.

But I am waiting for your manifold to come out-- hurry up would ya

Just to share my experience.....I bought a 550 in May 2010 and had it replaced under warranty 3 times. Finally I sold it on CraigsList to get most of my $ back. In the mean time I've bought a FP (Fisher Price). So far so good. I like technology and using a chart to determine required SuperHeat on a fixed metering device system seems to outdated. Hence the target S/H feature is nice.

I would love to have a AK,can't wait to buy or test either way. I think I am going to buy a 1600 to get my digital fix on till the AK comes out.

Hey Doug. I have been thinking about getting digital manifold gages. But have been leary of buying. I have been burnt twice by digital infrared thermometers. I like analog and temp probes that make contact.

Was on your site today, now it seems to be down.

The AK900, does it come with hose, probes and Micron gage all for $299?

3 valve Manifold, digital gauge and the pipe thermometers. No hoses in the kit and there is no built in micron gauge.

Which is good enough, you can use the hoses from your analog set and you really should be using a stand alone micron gauge. I just got the AK900 this week and I'm very satisfied with it.

Micron gauge doesn't belong on your manifold, anyway.

Any text on proper evacuation procedures that I've ever read.

YOU have even admitted that the manifold is not the correct location for the micron gauges in your own posts.

There are a number of reasons against it, not the least of which is the sensitivity of the micron gauge vs typical system pressures.
