When testing both the a/c and the heater (gas)which unit should you operate first, how long should you wait in between tests?

Maybe you are asking because you are worried about heating up the evap coil with the gas heat and starting the condenser too soon? Maybe there will be a heavy start load on the unit?
Just yell "fire in the hole" and hit the switch.
