When testing both the a/c and the heater (gas)which unit should you operate first, how long should you wait in between tests?

    What are you testing for?
“Now the freaks are on television, the freaks are in the movies. And it’s no longer the sideshow, it’s the whole show. The colorful circus and the clowns and the elephants, for all intents and purposes, are gone, and we’re dealing only with the freaks.” - Jonathan Winters

It really doesn't make a difference. Right cool?

Maybe you are asking because you are worried about heating up the evap coil with the gas heat and starting the condenser too soon? Maybe there will be a heavy start load on the unit?

Just yell "fire in the hole" and hit the switch.
