    Just curious if anyone has tried to go around the obstacle of having to have r200 loaded on the system you want to remotely connect to.. it would be great if you could use care 5 and say an ilon100e2 to connect remotely and download everything you need and then re-commision the bus.

    Do you mean r300? Im guessing you have a system with no front end and maybe only an mmi on a controller? I think you would stil have to have a virtual cbus defined with an LNS database on a server to do the xl remote online.

    Yah exactly, but how would i get away with doing a xl5000 pointserver and a lns server without running symetre (or a front end) i don;t think remote is possible without that front end in place.... unless someone can tell me different.

    I don't think it would be possible without Acselon or Symmetre.

    However, you could post this on the Honeywell building forum and see if you get an answer.
