Adding on AC to a unit with a canvas connector in plenum. A-coil will fit in top section of plenum above canvas. Question is will plenum have enough strength to hold up A coil. I usually take 3" angle stock and build a shelve for coil. Hate to do all that and watch it fold. Anyone ever put A coil in canvas connector built plenum?

Me personaly, I would rebuild it in metal. When in doubt tear it out.

yea I would tear out the canvas on the bottom and transition the coil on top of unit then replace the canvas connector to top of a coil.

I have never attached an A-coil to a flexible duct. Guaranteed, even if it supports it now, in no time the A-coil will sag somewhere and not drain properly.
