Last week I noticed this gem as I drove up 23rd avenue near our shop.
I stopped real quick and tried to take a few photos of the mess.
Look hard and you will notice several runs of round duct come UP through the roof, go 10 feet or so, then drop back down to where there is most likely a ceiling supply register.
Seeing that it is ROUND duct, I can only assume there is NO insulation inside that sh*t!
I HOPE it's ONLY connected to that evap cooler. But I doubt it.

I'm glad I wasn't taught to do ductwork that way. I've never seen anything like that before. I can't believe codes allow this.
Get back to work.™

Gotta admit I've never seen any of the kinda stuff you find Payson. No offense, but do you spend most of your time searching for this stuff so you can convince the rest of the country we don't have things as bad as AZ territory.
Your pics never cease to amaze me.
I'm sure you have heard the old addage; "if you do something bad enough you will never get called back to fix it". Oh well, keeps everyone else busy.

Well. It's not Arizona. It's the Phoenix and the rest of the "valley" that says ...
"codes? What codes???"
This sh*t never passed in the Rim Country (Payson,AZ).

Gotta give them some credit. It kind of looks like they used mastic on the seams...
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.
