A week ago my wife turned off the furnace by way of the thermostat because we were going on vacation. On our return from vacation we find that our furnace does not send any heat even though the motors are running. What do you suggest the problem could be? There is absolutley no flames comming from the burners or the pilot light.

Nobody can fix your furnace over the Internet, and step by step DIY questions are not allowed.

I would turn the power off, then back on to reset the board. If it starts working - good. If it fires up and fails again, or just doesn’t work, call a tech. Also ensure that the filter is clean.

    Good luck.

The only thing you should do is, turn power off to the unit and check the air filters. Then after installing new filters, turn the power back on and see if the unit functions properly.

If not, call a HVAC company for service.
BTW, when was the last time you had the unit serviced & inspected? (might be time to make that call anyway)
