2000 BTU?? You won't even find a window shaker that small. Good luck. Probably have to be some specialty unit that will cost an arm & a leg.

    What is the application?

If wall unit type is okay,do a search on PTAC's there are some compamys that build specialy models, they might do it for less.

I am using it to cool a enclosure for PCs. As long as i can find a air conditioner with 1500~2000 btu, i will have someone rip it apart and put it back together for my design. i just need these parts and since HVAC is not my field, i dont know where to look. If i can get the individual components (compressor, evaporator, condensor and expansion valve) i can still make it work but my problem is that i dont know how to size all the components.Well lets see what happens.

    take a look at http://www.mrslim.com

    they have the inverter(variable) compressor.

it will do a great job for a small computer room.

if i recall correctly, the minium capacity is approx. 9000 btu's, but will go lower depending on the load with the inverter compressor.

i beiieve the model # is mxz

    good luck.

How about a high temp reach in evap and a high temp condensing unit? You better make sure it is sized right. Do not mix humidity with electronics.
