Pentagon announced $178 billion in cuts
“Like the other [top] military contractors, Raytheon dodged a bullet on Thursday and has good reason to believe that it will fare similarly well in future rounds of spending reductions,’’The Pentagon announced a total of $178 billion in overall cuts but roughly $100 billion of the savings would be plowed back into new weapons priorities. The remaining $78 billion would be cut from the budget over five years.

So the word on the street is that the big contractors will not feel much pain and seeing that $178 billion in saving is really $78 billion, will the spending cuts be further whittled down and was this just a PR exercise?

Seriously? Is this a philosophical question?
How would anyone here know if this is a PR exercise?GOVERNMENT

I think they should make Health Care a part of the Military and add the 700 billion to the pentagons budget, doubling the pentagons budget.
