Just trying to get an overall opinion about which system is preferred by professionals and the advantages to both systems.

Option 1: Two gas fired tube boilers for each building.
Option 2: District heating system using three Gas/Oil water tube HTWGs.

    Disrict vs Stand-alone

Been involved with both district heating and stand-alone. Really comes down to economics. What is in place now? What are your fuel options? How reliable is the district loop? I recommend doing a life-cycle analysis of both options and see what annual cost ends up being for each over a 20 year period.
