Our company uses methanol anti freeze for geo thermal closed loops. Does anyone know what happens to the viscosity if there is too much methanol and also the heat transfer?

We used to use methanol then switched to ethanol.

20% methanol gives pretty good freeze protection and does not make it too viscous to pump.

Much easier to work with and pump compared to propylene glycol
The way we build has a greater impact on our comfort, energy consumption and IAQ than any HVAC system we install.
