Hello all, been a while since ive been on. A re-introduction, I am 25, live in NJ, finishing my apprenticeship in the UA. Even at top pay, there is very little chance of me getting a house in a decent area, living comfortable. I cant for the life of me find any way to justify the outragous property taxes, and im sick of this state in general. So my future wife and I are picking up and heading to Nevada. She has family there and my best friend and his wife are out there. I was told to go out for a place in the sherrifs department or corrections, but i also want to know how i would do money wise if i stuck with the trade. I see how housing is ar far as pricing, looks good in the nye/clark county areas. Just want to know if any techs here can give me some first hand info. How are wages, is there a Union division for HVAC. The two unions i talked to out there had no idea if service guys are in the local. It was all fitters, and that i am not. So how do you guys make it out there.

Any chances someone from the area can dop a little info? I did notice all the building out there, but that cant last forever. Their low on water as it is.

It wont last forever anywhere.
Have you ever been to nevada or seen it from the air?
There is all kinds of room to put stuff. And it will take a long time to fill it up!
There is plenty of H2O too!
I'll tell you, if I was a young guy just starting out, I would definatley consider making the move. Not just to gamble either , but to make my mark!
