Did I learn it at my own expense , no I didn't.

I learned early on that there is a big difference between 25 years of experience and twentfive years of experiences.

I hate to get off topic.... but yes, occasionally I do think about finding a new career. Welding and being an industrial machinist is deep in my blood, and it would be very nice to get a career doing something like that. But, on the other hand I still get to play with metal and fix more stuff than a break occasionally, so this trade isn't too bad either.

Now quitting my boss as someone put it... man, every day them thoughts go through my head.

Ok, now back to your regularly scheduled... uhm... ***** session (sorry, couldn't think up any cleaver wording).

do i ever,....what is bad is when other people start asking you why you don't do something else(i.e.,like in the slow times, bad days,no profit,etc.).....i try to tell myself-if it was easy, everybody would do it.You gotta stay with it,that's for sure.....if it doesn't work out......i was looking for a job when i found this one.

I have a back-up plan. If my career in HVAC does not work out I am going to become a professional baseball player.

If I didn't work for myself I would have quit every day last week.

Yes, there are days I would like to take my tools down to the river and scatter them to the wind. But the prospect of starvation would have me down there the next morning digging through the mud.
