I dont think this has anything to do with cooking... ew
Now.....That's definately not right!!!
No, not that steamer. Girlfriend didn't get akick out of it either. 24 CGA steamer, steam in cabinet from drain.
Is the drain you have now an atmospheric drain or is it hard piped?
runs to open floor drain, press solenoids not leaking by and drain not plugged, don't under stand part that looks like a filter drier
Not sure what "looks like a filter drier is" unless it's a thermostatic trap but it shouldn't be on a convection steamer.
Is your drain pipe vented and run in 1.5" copper? There should also be a cold water valve that supplies drain water though a jet so the steam will not build up a vacuum and continue to go out the drain. Do they work and are those jets turned to spray down the drain?
If your condensate traps are leaking ( what looks like a dryer) coming off the compartment supply lines then you could have the steam travel back up the compartment drain line and vent. Normal function of these traps are to drain off any water in the steam supply lines but not allow the steam to vent.
Steamer works great in on position. yes on the jmet stream. yes 1.5" black iron though. 3 90's and less than 4' run.
steam vent through drain when in stanby. Going to have to find a parts break down.
Look at drawing number 105881. Most likely your problem is here.

I believe Ur correct, Think they can be cleaned? they are not cheap, but easy to replace
If you are talking about the thermostatic trap it's best just to change them out. They can't be taken apart to be cleaned and if you try to soak them in a cleaning solution your labor would be more than the cost of the trap.
thank you for the hel[p, traps took care of the problems
