Why ask for free advice from people that do this for a living all day, and come here to relax after work.

Two customers. Customer A had me add AC to her house locally. In a few months we'll be going up to another house she's building to install central heat. Customer B had me install two Trane XV 90 furnaces in his house last fall and is going to have me install two new condensers, evap coils and duct systems in the not so distant future.
I don't know for certain. But it's entirely possible that they had the impudence to disturb the relaxing tradesmen here with some questions prior to doing business with me.

You dont have to pay to get information from that site . after a product has been described they ask that you suscribe.
as I said before there is plenty of good info there ,also on the ENERGY STAR website

Thousands of people daily visit and read the post of HVAC-Talk.com. It has always amazed me the numebr of people I hear from via email and telephone.
I have corresponded many times in just a helpful manner to inquiries as well....

I think it's interesting that "diy" and "Do It Yourselfers" shows up at the top when opening the first web page. When I hit the button for saving the site, this is what shows up:

I think the people running this board should change that.
