    Question

What are the best gloves to wear to protect you from refrigerant that aren't so bulky that you can still disconect gages?

I never wear gloves. Get low-loss fittings for your hoses, like the EPA wants. They're there to help you.

Or, there are techniques learned that will allow you to disconnect hoses without risking contact with refrigerant.

I have no loss hoses, but the reason for the question to begin with was because the other day I was disconnecting my hoses and they got stuck as I was taking them off. Got them off but burnt the S@*+!"T out of my finger before I could get it off. I've not been at this as long as yall, so I figured I would ask. Thanks for the replys.

I would think some thin leather gloves would do the trick. I use the same gloves I use for welding (single thin layer of leather), they are usually under $10 at the welding supply house. Works great to protect ya from cold weather, hot parts, cold stuff, sharp edges... oh, and they work pretty good for welding too

*Edit* Dang, too slow to join in the sing along.. hummm, maybe next time around I'll get to join in.
