Seems hard to believe that these are not somehow all related in some way and the direct result of direct intervention of man. Terrorists? A Government? If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what will never be. (Thomas Jefferson 1816)

I'm thinking a controlled fish kill got out of hand and when the birds eat the dead fish...dead bird.
I wouldn't eat any dead birds you see laying around.

newspaper had a picture of an EPA official with a chem suit and full respirator on (blacked out face shield) He was collecting birds off of a roof. The story went on to explain about fireworks killing the birds.
um why does he need all that protection from a bird that died of shock?

You got that right. I think it is similar to the the mandatory evacuation of a neighborhood for several blocks around if someone finds what appears to be a small hand grenade. The very effective AM61 Fragmentation grenade has a killing radius of 5 meters and a casualty producing radius (50% injury rate) of 15 meters with 5 ounces of explosive.
Now all they would have to do is park their cruisers around the grenade and there would be no danger at all to anyone say 40 or 50 feet away much less in their house. But no they make a big deal out of it. Or the evacuation of a large building on the same scenario.
I did the demo for my unit in Nam. Had the training and I know what I am talking about here. Just get sick at all the over blown BS when there is a suspicious small explosive found. Thank you, thank you very much"I could have ended the war in a month. I could have made North Vietnam look like a mud puddle."
"I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them."
