Why do we call the heat removal section of an hvac system an "air conditioner" ??
When you're in heating mode are you not "conditioning the air" from one state to another ??
In cooling you are removing heat and humidity to "condition" the space or "air", in heating you are adding heat and humidity to "condition" the "air".
So what gives ?? How did it get labeled that way ??
As always all types of answers are appreciated. Serious or not.
