Routine check up. First time out for us. Home owner says the pilot light doesn't stay lit. Last company out installed a new gas valve and a copper thingie(his words, not mine), but he still has the same problem. But he doesn't want them back because he doesn't think they knew what they were doing.
And the CO2 meter says ....
What's the reading in the blower compartment?
And comming out of the vents?
I told him he needed a new furnace. And his reply, "I have a spare one in the storage shed. Can you install that one for me?"
Not in this lifetime.
So lets see what the AC looks like. The panel was just like that when I first looked at it. Wrong panel for the unit, doesn't fit.
Oh look a spare contactor.
And even a spare condensing unit. Maybe he's keeping it around for a rainy day?
Let's see what's waiting for me in the disconnect box
I left the circuit breaker off, turned the gas valve off, and documented it.
