sling.
I build pumpkin catapults. Got interested in ancient slings as a result since a trebuchet is just a big mechanical arm with an ancient sling attached.
I've built a few slings to experiment with and I'm very impressed with how powerful and accurate they are. I can easliy see how a head shot with a 1/4 lb rock would kill.
Ammo is everywhere, they fit in your pocket, kids can even use them to kill giants.

I missed the fact that this was a poll when I posted earlier.
From the limited choices, I would select a spear. Wanting to keep maximum distance between me and the person I'm trying to kill.
That said, I don't believe that any single weapon of this type is a good choice. A spear as a primary weapon and a club of some sort as a secondary weapon. Possibly a rock or two in my pocket (pouch, satchel, whatever...) as a backup to a backup.

No. I was at the chunk though, as a spectator.
Every year I build a machine with my church youth for a local competition. We've done very well the last few years and have never lost the event. We're currently throwing about 450' which is great for junior high and high school kids but not quite world record stuff.
I'm itching to do something more impressive but even at 450', the speed and forces are dangerous. I'm scared to do anything more powerful with kids. Don't want to see anybody get hurt.
We've been doing this for several years and a lot of our former kids are now grown and I'm working on putting together an adult team with the goal of entering "the chunk" in 2012.
so maybe we'll be on TV in a couple of years.Ryan

I think a spear would give me multiple chances, as would the club but some have hard heads sooo

A club, and giving a good clubbing to some thing, always brings me sooooo much satisfaction!!
I always said if I had to be a cop, I want to be a London Bobbie, no guns, just lots and lots and lots of those little black sticks!!!
