Hello Everyone!
Whenever my York Heatpump shifts from heating to defrost mode, the electric heatstrip does not come on if the stat is calling for 1st stage only, however, if the t-stat is calling for stage 2 (electric-strip) when defrost starts, the electric strip stays on and keeps warming up the place.
Any ideas on how get the strip to come on during defrost when 1st stage is calling?
Outdoor Unit: Model# E1FD030506A Serial#EBEMO38407
Indoor Unit: Model# N2AHD10A06E Serial# ENDS327222
Electric Heat Strip: Model# 2HW06500806A (Don't know Serial#)
T-stat is a Lux programable heat pump t-stat M#HP2110
Thanks for reading!

It is not wired correctly, or one of the sequncers is bad. Have your installer come back and fix it for you.
Karst means cave. So, I search for caves.

Let me Guess the thermostat was just replaced and now you have this problem

Strip heat during defrost is brought on by the defrost control in the outdoor unit. Must not be set up right, BTW thermostat wouldn't have any effect on that part of system operation.

Funny you should mention that...
I DID replace the old Honeywell mechanical H/P t-stat with the LUX
Hmm... The strip was working when that one was installed...
HOW STRANGE!
(BTW hvac-tech-lane, even if the t-stat does not affect this it still seems wierd!)

Hold your breath and wait for a ton of support on LUX thermostats in here.
Home Depot or Lowes? I would call them and ask.
