    My Honeywell Chronotherm IV Plus programmable thermostat appears to be stuck. No matter what temp I program, the thermostat will not read higher than 66 degrees. However, the furnace is producing heat.

    if it is fact higher than 66 degrees than get a new stat

    Measure the temperature near the thermostat with another thermometer to verify that it is indeed 66°. Unless you're experiencing extremely cold weather there you should check your air filter to be sure it is clean. If it is you should call a service company and have your system checked.

    Put a lamp or another souce of heat under it and see if it rises.
