The Bible cannot be more clear on this issue: The ONLY way to heaven is through Jesus Christ-period. If you do not accept Christ as your personal savior and the Son of God, you are not going to heaven or enjoy eternal life. That's not my opinion---its God's word. If that hurts the feelings of Jews, aetheists, Muslims, Hindus, etc. then oh well. God's Holy Word does not apply to just Jews but the whole world. In fact, God took one of the worst persecutors of Believers (Saul) and converted him into his voice to the gentiles so they also would receive His Word. If these people reject Christ then they do Not go to heaven but they die and burn in hell for eternity---all according to the Bible. No sugar coating about it. It is amazing how people will reject this promise from God with such a cheap price of admission then embrace all sorts of worldly sins, false promises and failures.

Let me be clear---NO one on this earth can deliver Hope. That comes only from the Son of God offering you eternal life if you would only believe and accept Him.
    Well said.

We don't get to concoct our own standard of salvation, based on what "feels good."

It's okay to "enjoy" what he says, but you must supplement that with the real "meat and potatoes" (or should I say bread and fish) of the Word. That way, you won't be misled, and you won't miss out on the big day.

    <grunt, groan> Religious Wars: Take One <snap>:

Not interested in the preachy preachy my way or the highway (human interpretation of any said Word). I do believe that God is bigger, much, than what some are seemingly only wanting to give him credit for.

My opinion only and I'm with Joel.

In that case, you are at odds with God.

Thank you for proving my point, human.

Not in any way am I at odds with God. Last night I prayed to him, talked to Him and last night He responded as I felt Him, again, handing me his guidance, His strength.

I'm not saying that anyone needs to not believe what they care to believe but I am saying that you have no right to go around saying that to anyone, ever, period, and the next time you say that to me or any one else without also stating that that is YOUR belief will be the last time I ever see a post of yours.

I want to go to Heaven and am expected to be there come my time or so I'm led to believe by The Big Man Himself thus far, thank you very much.

Exclamation the root of the matter

If you believe the Bible is the literal word of God, then there is no discussion--you either follow the Bible completely or not. You do not pick and choose which portions of God's Word you accept or not. If you reject the Bible in its entirety then you join the rest of those damned. Not my judgement or opinion but from the very written word of God. There is no middle ground.

Only Man could be so ignorant as to believe and preach these words. I don't believe that the Bible is anything more than a man made inerpretation of God's word at best. Man has always been the middle ground and set upon a fault line at that.

I go right by Man and talk to God, as intended. I know He's listening, I know He understands so for anyone to go around saying that I'm at odds with The Higher Power at work in any and all of our lives, well, that's what you get for believing in and listening to Man over God and that is the case at hand.

If you were speaking to me well then and again, I'm not the one going around telling any one they are at odds with God so I'd try there when concerning beliefs making anyone "special."
