We got one of those calls that you hope you never get on thursday night. My 16 year old daughter was in an accident and totaled her car. She was extremely lucky to walk away from a car that looked like it got hit with a wrecking ball.
Until that night me and my daughter had constantly been growing apart. Seeing the expression of complete fear in her eyes that night and her jumping up to hug me when I first arrived helped me to realize that I have to do everything in my power to see that she and I stay close as possible to each other. Teenagers may be tough to deal with but no matter how hard it becomes, we all need to find a way to keep connected with them.

Glad shes okay. You saw complete fear in her eyes, and she saw complete love in yours. Best wishes for the future.

Wow htg guy, I'm so glad it is a happy ending. Having teenage daughters is one scary time. They don't want you to stay connected, unless of course they need you, then you had better be there! LOL

I'm happy for your outcome. We have 5 ranging in age from 21 down to 14. The oldest, she's living 300 miles away going to university and living off-campus with 2 other girls and roams around a city using public transit. I have discovered new meanings for the word paranoia. We're lucky the 2 youngers that are eligible to drive aren't too intersested yet.
Is this a Fabreze moment? C.Y.D. I'm voting white elephant. 2¢.

That is exactly the emotion you should have after something like that, especially if you got some fixing to do on your relationship.
Glad she was okay.

My youngest is 24 and in college. He is questioning the existence of God and all of that hippy stuff. I just tell him to wait tell he has his own kids and he'll realize that there is a Supreme Being.

My youngest turns 16 this week.
Li'l red truck already in the driveway.
It was really tough with the older three, 26 twice & 18.
It's not ANY easier with the baby.
Glad she's okay, and remembered who her daddy is.
Good luck.
