Spiders...deathly afraid of spiders. No poisonous ones here either. We're talking small creepy house spiders. Used to call my 6 year old daughter to kill 'em for me.
I can handle rats, mice, snakes...whatever...but spiders...no way.
Sounds more like healthy respect for things that can do you harm for most of you guys.
I had issues with snakes, so I started working at the Zoo and was taught how to handle snakes and all about them. Now, I don't have as many issues with snakes.
Same with bugs. I still don't do real well with bugs and must admit my fears being phobic since I have reacted irrationally over exposure to bugs, but I still have been able to overcome my "fear" of them.
Now...for a phobia, I cannot for the life of me be around baby dolls. They just creep me out. Especially the ones with the fixed eyes that have lids that "snap" open and closed...eeeeehhhhhwwwwww!
I'm also creeped out by clowns. Both of these are common phobias by the way. I see all clowns as potentially being like the ones in Killer Klowns from Outerspace and the clown from Steven Kings "It".
I don't do well in confined spaces but only if there are other people there. I'm fine in a small elevator until someone else gets on. This did not work to my benefit when I was learning to skydive because I needed to be nearest the open door which meant I was the first to be tossed out. If I was off course, they knew they had to do a correction.
