i guess the guys at the hospital who bend 3/4" copper around a condenser, then srill small holes in it to release water onto it may be on to something? you know, you could use them in alaska too-----all you would need is some heat trace for the blanky the unit would be more efficient but what about overall costs?

My thought would be about all the scale that will build up on the coil and filter from the evaporation.

That just made me think of something. I am thinking about a rack in a supermarket. Why not make a evaporator for the condenser and enclose it all in like a shell and tube. No motors. No roof pentrations. No water. I bet they could do that. Maybe they got it already.
