    We've got a 94 Ford van, new tires, brakes, good paint, lettering etc....and a rod knocking because one of our guys ran it with low oil, its been sitting since last summer, work is slow right now so Im gonna yank the engine and fix it, should be fun

    Go ahead and flame me for being a DIY hack....Im ready

    A hvac company should have a maintenance program on their vans but if you can fix it then do it you will save alot of $$$$$$$$$$$.

    Pulling the engine in a van can be a bear, gotta remove the front clip.......I never done it, but might have to soon on my old 92 dodge.She still looks good so it would be worth it....Have Fun

    a FORD van, yep I would take it too the wrecking yard lol. Ok honestly I wouldnt on that age van but that just depends on what you ca afFORD to do with it. Guess thats just an opinion of a CHEVY fan.

    The thing is I put a new engine in this van 50K miles ago, Its a 4.9 Straight 6, Im just going to have the crank machined and put new bearings and an oil pump in it, if it goes boom oh well I havent lost much but my time, the van is in good shape otherwise which is why Im going to fix it, plus if it goes well Im getting myself a new one to drive as my Chevy is pushing 200k

    You should put that Stang engine in there. Just think how fast you could get to service calls then.

    You dont know how much I wish that van had a 302, I can build one of those with my eyes closed now, plus Ive got enough parts to build 3 rotating assemblies lying around, it would be too much trouble to convert it over though.
