Just because the Bible has no authority over our nation from a government standpoint does not mean that the U.S. was not built on and our Constitutional values not derived from Biblical influence. Just about all of the laws of our land derived originally from Biblical guidance.
No matter what we may call ourselves religiously, including those who claim to not believe in God, it is God...the only God and only Creator of the physical universe, who has spiritual authority over each and every one of us. Unfortunately we too often allow ourselves to be influenced by that which is against God, including the denial of God's existance.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cure…Ecclesiastes 10:2 NIV

Obama did a photo op visit to an historically Black church on Easter.
I agree with Obama's rationale for not attending public services. I just don't believe that Obama has much use for God other then to perpetuate his goal for world domination.Still No Regular Church for Obama family
Still, not everyone was happy to see all the VIPs. Worshippers were forced to wait in long lines and go through metal detectors, while latecomers were turned away for security reasons. Several were upset about missing holiday services, but preferred not to comment.
When President Obama first moved to Washington, D.C., he said his family would explore local churches before joining one. He now says the family will remain without a church because their attendance would be too intrusive.
"We've decided for now ... not to join a single church. The reason is because Michelle and I have realized we are very disruptive to services," Obama told NBC News last month. "Now, there are a whole bunch of churches who would say it's OK, but [not] when every other member of the congregation has to be 'magged' every time you attend," Obama said about the security screening process.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cure…Ecclesiastes 10:2 NIV

Come now Glenn, Clinton is a sef described sex maniac. I'll bet he wouldn't turn down a little sausage fest with the guys once in a while. You see Glenn, you have a very singular idea of what homosexuallity is. Mick Jagger and David Bowie have always been notorious womanizers, yet they checked each other out as well....(ewww, I don't like thinking about that factor of two idols from my youth.)

I will vote for the person that I think is the best choice for the job. I don't care what color they are, what their sexual preference is or even whether or not they were born in this country. Unfortunately, there are far too many voters who would vote for someone ONLY because they are black or gay or whatever.

So you think a gay person must have been born gay and did not choose that lifestyle? Well I personally think they "choose" that lifestyle, and if they choose to be with men, they might just choose to be with the Russians instead of Americans, if they become President. I do not think a gay person is a logically thinking person, we have a gay mayor here, and she has already tried to bring in other gays to the upcoming vacant city counsel seats, she should back off, and let the voters choose, and stick with the regular business of the day. You see where I am coming from, our Mayor has already took her abnormal mind off the city's business, to focus on her own agenda, and she is not bringing them in because there the best for the job, she is bringing them in because their gay. See, you said, "I will vote for the person that I think is the best choice for the job" as you can see, the illogical gays don't think that way.

This is a problem!
You should care, because this defines them as a person. You should also care what religion they are and what secret fraternal orders they belong to. Most of all, they better be a natural born citizen for them to run for office.

Before Jimmy Carter was elected, he claimed to be a committed witness for Christ, and I believe, a devout Baptist. I may have voted for him...I can't remember.
He has evolved, or "Came out" himself as a raging anti-Christ super-liberal. He has made it clear that he detests Israel, and sides with their enemies at every opportunity; and now this foolishness.
He has embraced every Socialist agenda that he could chime in on with liberal rhetoric that is simply Marxist nonsense. We've elected some stinkers, and some incompetents, as President, but Jimmy Carter may take the cake for the biggest flip flop away from the evangelical claims, to Marxism as a religion.[He almost sunk the economy..]
He's lost his mind, or at best, his conscience.

You're reading a little too much into my statement. I did not say that I think a gay person would be a good President. I personally believe exactly the opposite. My point is that Carter's statement seems to imply that we should elect someone because he/she is gay. If that is what he meant, then I could not disagree more.
