home has a carrier model 58GV200-2 series 204 gas furnace s#A102061 Anybody know when this unit was made ?

Carriers product data sheet for that model was published in March of 1971. The a probably represents 1970's, utx went with week/date in early 80's.

carrier 58gv125-3 in the prestons guide were made in 1972,so fixitmanmc is on the right track for sunday not badOriginally posted by yo jack

58gv of the 70's was the predecessor to the 58 gs of the 80's. You are way to late on changing it out the exchanger has no doubt been broke for a long long time.
