I got you beat, was at my first co. 6 weeks when i started running calls. Boss was in Florida and the dispatcher was in tears almost and i said i can help out.....the rest is history.

Dont get to confident. Your bound to get bitten. As far as Spideys comment, there are plenty of excellent MI contractors and Im one of them. There are also some excellent inspectors around my area that will force you to be good or get out. Good luck to you mikey!!

Well, I was close. I did residential tinning for about a year and a half before I moved to service with a different company. One week into service, the boss broke his leg and arm. I was all by myself, except for the phone. At the time, it was only me and him.

Have fun, you will as long as your changing Ignitors, pressure switches, thermostats, burnt obvious wires. Youll do fine for about 6 months.

Can you troubleshoot refrigeration systems? Read schematics?Would you know how to wire in an outdoor stat for a heat pump with say L.P. backup? Could you install/diagnose a zone system?

No the best way to learn, is to work with an experieced mechanic for atleast 3 years and go to school.

You didn't state your mechanical apptitude so I hope for your sake,you get the proper training. Without mechanical experence you are more apt to get hurt.Good luck

there are a bunch of ways to get hurt killed burned and disfigured in this trade. think safety first . if your not sure ask your co-workers.
