I have gotten you all beat. My first day on the job they tossed me my van keys and a cell phone and pager. I about crapped myself! I followed one of the senior techs around that day. The very next day I received a call to go to one of our MOB's.
Mind you, I was not finished with school yet. Had 2 months to go. It really is a tough industry at times, but the money makes up for it!
Good Luck to me.........Almost have a year under my belt.
LOL...still green as hell too.

I didn't see an answer to Norms question have you been to tech school? Are you certified? I find it hard to believe a contractor would actually put you out on your own with little or no experience but at least you smart enough to be afraid.

When I first started the boss sent me out on my own after about 6-8 weeks I was nervous but confident, I did make some stupid mistakes. But in the end I think it made me better, I had gone to a good hvac school and finished top three in the class. Yes mattm there were only three of us in the class, 'not'."Nothing else can poison our culture, corrupt our society or ruin the character of our people like unearned money or unearned opportunity." -- James R. Cook
