Looks like Obamacare along with most of the other Socialist programs that Obama implemented are going to be reversed or toned down in the near future. All it cost us to let a Socialist run the country is a few hundred billion dollars, our dignity and our now being in debt to a Communist country.

All along hey! Then how do you explain this?
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/11/us.../11health.htmlAs the health care debate heats up, the American Medical Association is letting Congress know that it will oppose creation of a government-sponsored insurance plan, which President Obama and many other Democrats see as an essential element of legislation to remake the health care system.
Oh! You didn't explain anything, because you didn't show any support for your opinion.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cureEcclesiastes 10:2 NIV

Sorry can not remember who sponsored the poll. It was not the main ones like Rasmussen and such, I think it was a college poll. when asked there reasoning, the Doctors all said that after there experiences with medicaid and the government not paying, it played a part in there decision. apparently not many doctors even accept medicare any more.
I remember the White House parading all those lab tech doctors on the lawn to show support. I think now that this thing is finally being read and understood people that may have supported the bill before are now backtracking there support.
quote from the Times.....
The A.M.A., an umbrella group for 180 medical societies, does not speak for all doctors. If common sense is so common how come so few of us have it!

I have spoken to a number of doctors (since my Dad lives with me and sees them regularly). They ALL say medicare and medicaid pay VERY slowly, very low, and sometimes not at all.
One person (friend) that does neurology said she had not received $$$ from medicare in over 6 mos (most of winter/spring/early summer 2010). Then when the $$$ did start to trickle in... they wanted documentation repeatedly for the same claims... Sometimes requiring the originals which they promptly lost... and required originals again. It does not take a rocket scientist to find the government fraud in this.
Now if you were an HVAC contractor and certain customers did not pay (or paid considerably lower than others)... would you continue to deal with them?GA-HVAC-Tech

App. 22% of all doctors and med, students belong to the AMA.
Doctors polled by themselves favor the public option even at 73%.

Even the AMA who coined the term "socialized medicine" in the 1940's was finally in favor of healthcare reform this last go round. They generally did not want the public option but did back a public option plan.

Doctors polled by themselves overwhelmingly supported healthcare reform and especially the public option. See link on last post.

Page,
You would think polls asking do you support Health Care would be 100 percent yes.
Do you want free health care, would also be 100 percent.
As if anything is truly free.
NPR has a huge slant for the Democrats and there policies, I have listened to there radio broadcast for years. NPR does the odd right slant then 10 democrat stories. NPR hates the right. Huffington I believe is left as well. I have to take both there polls and read between the lines. meaning I do not trust them. I do not think we can trust any news service, If we ever could. makes it tuff but this Health Care can not survive without the tax. the Gov does not make wealth it consumes it. I agree with Page that The Gov must force the people into another tax or Health care dies a slow death and is worse than it was before. what a mess Obama care has made.If common sense is so common how come so few of us have it!

I don't care what polls anyone posts. I don't care what the AMA says, or any other happy go lucky group says. I know from my customers what the public wants and it ain't Obama Care.
it isn't a "public option".
There are many parts of the health care bill people do like. For example, elimination of the pre-existing condition thing. Elimination of the "cap"
some things are good about NObama Care. The part that is overwhelmingly objectionable is the mandatory "buy it or we'll penalize you".....No one, not one person I have talked to about NObama Care wants to be forced to buy anything from the government, period.GOVERNMENT

Lessee...
If I were the head of PR (public relations) for a leading doctor's association, and it was during 2009 when the public mood was 'pro' government subsidized medicine... you can bet your grandma's corset I would make statements like I wanted it...
Then if I was the same guy in the same job now... seeing the public trend is against the same program (because the public realized there is nothing free), you can again bet your grandma's corset I would be against it...
SOOO what did we learn: We learned that any organization will say whatever they (read this carefully now) THINK the public wants to hear. The truth is, there is NO TRUTH from a PR person... they only say what is in their best interest.
Given this sad truth... any comments about the AMA being for or against this or that, IMO, are meaningless.
Edit: You know, I wonder what PR organizations do not behave like this... anyone care to pick one and PROVE it does not play spin?
